CWHOA Florida Friendly Landscaping Information
CWHOA COMMON AREA PLANTING PROGRAM:
The Country Walk Landscape Maintenance program will ensure proper maintenance for improvements to common area planting sites which are designated by approved Mod/Arc process in accordance with guidance from State Forestry Agent, IFAS, Brevard County Natural Resources, ISA Certified arborists & Florida Friendly Landscape Certified Contractors.
Goals
To enhance the beauty & value of our neighborhood.
Florida Friendly Tree & Planting Project
1. Increase the overall tree canopy (replacing trees & plants that have been removed over time) and installing trees & plants that will thrive in areas that turf, and other plantings have struggled in over the years.
2. Utilize Florida Friendly Landscape principles to plant beautiful low maintenance gardens beds with the “right plant in the right place” reducing / eliminating the need for irrigation on the common areas.
3. Identify common areas that would benefit from planting projects.
4. Selected trees will be established in 5-10-15-30-gallon pots (to be determined based on location), guaranteed for at least three months by the nursery and will be planted on common areas with Mod/Arc approval these guidelines are based on The Keep Brevard Beautiful Tree Sponsorship Program for Brevard County Parks & Recreation .

Pond Beautification Project
1. Improve the beauty and function of the stormwater pond at the heart of our community.
2. Utilize Florida Friendly Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) guidelines, to protect our shoreline from erosion, improve the quality of the stormwater entering the Indian River Lagoon watershed.
3. Identify achievable goals for pond maintenance program enhancements.
4. Selected plants will be on the approved GSI List
